Matt Ryan, a senior at Nease High in Florida, finished 39th in the 5-kilometer boys championship race in 16:24.3 at the Foot Locker Cross Country Championships at Balboa Park's Morley Field in San Diego, Calif. Ryan was a member of the victorious South boys lineup, which prevailed for the first time since 2016 and the fourth time in meet history.
